Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Manager

This top-rated hospital in California's High Desert is actively interviewing experienced Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Managers to fill a mission critical role. Join this progressive, rural medical center, and help lead a dedicated and tenured team of inpatient pharmacists. The Hospital Pharmacy Manager will be joining this ancillary services department at a very exciting time. This local non-profit system is experiencing amazing growth, with multiple outpatient clinics currently opening and new service line being offered one after another. It's no surprise that Pharmacy leadership is looking for a strong manager, someone with strong operations experience, as well as in-depth clinical pharmaceutical experience that typically comes from an Accredited Pharmacy Residency or experience. Under direction from, and reporting to, the Chief Operating Officer, the Inpatient Pharmacy Manager will lead the charge in scaling pharmacy services to meet the demands of a growing healthcare system, hospital system, and community. You'll oversee a friendly and professional staff of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, and support personnel, while being supported by two Acute Care Pharmacy Leads. Along with the day-to-day of inpatient hospital pharmacy management, the Manager will also get to focus on a wide array of operational and clinical challenges, and you'll get to play a major role in addressing those challenges head on. This is the perfect role for someone who loves working hands-on in a department, who wants to work directly with healthcare clinical and business leaders, and for someone who wants to grow into a strong leader themselves. Operationally, the Manager of Pharmacy will develop multiple initiatives addressing best practices and efficient operations within the department, as well as developing staffing and quality assurance methods that will scale with growth. A strong clinical background in quality assurance, LEAN methodology, or other professional experience will prove a strong tool in building efficiencies within these service lines. Among the scrub brush and cool breezes of the California High Desert, the Pharmacy Manager will find a beautiful land where the air smells better, sunsets paint the skies, and new stars are discovered every clear night. You'll find parks filled with fossils and other natural wonders, you'll discover outdoor orchestral performances that play new and old classics alike, and you'll run upon outdoors activities just around every corner. If you're looking for a quieter way of life, with less traffic and neighbors who know your name, then look no further. The Inpatient Hospital Manager of Pharmacy will play a crucial role in the clinical and administrative operations of this hospital. You'll support the health and well-being of the region, and you'll support the mission of this hospital. You, in turn, will be supported by a strong and tenured executive leadership team, a competitive compensation package, and a generous benefits structure.
